Memorial Portrait of Mr.Beebe by Lisa Perry

Last May the city of Corsicana officially opened the Stuart J. Beebe Athletic Complex. Mr.Beebe is credited for organizing youth baseball in Corsicana in the 1950’s and remained active long after, he passed away in 1997. Lisa Perry was commissioned to sculpt a portrait of Mr.Beebe leaning on a fence as if he were watching a baseball game. The final bronze statue of Mr.Beebe will be placed at the Stuart J. Beebe Athletic Complex.

Lisa Perry is a phenomenal portrait and equestrian sculptor and recently finished sculpting Mr.Beebe. After receiving approval from the city Lisa called us to make the mold on her original sculpture and cast it in bronze. Lisa Perry’s home studio is in Springtown, Texas. She has done work for the American Quarter Horse Association, including the iconic “Refrigerator.” Lisa Perry also sculpted the “monumental sculpture of the legendary cowboy Bill Picket.” This sculpture is now a Fort Worth landmark and sits in front of the Fort Worth Coliseum in the historic stockyards. We absolutely love working with Lisa Perry and these two mentioned sculptures are just a testament to all of the amazing sculptures Lisa has done over the years.
